Winnifred Jane Zwicker

ZWICKER – Winnifred J.,  94, of Bridgewater, formerly of Greenfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Friday, July 9th, 2010.

 Born in New Elm, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Estella (Baker) Uhlman.

 Winnifred worked as a housekeeper at Freeman House in Greenfield for a number of years and at Hillsview Acres in Middlefield. She was a member of the Greenfield United Baptist Church. She enjoyed the out of doors and working in her gardens She was a fun loving person who was devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Ruby Ramey of Bridgewater and her son Mervin (Valerie) of Medicine Hat, AB. Grandsons: Dan (Marilyn) Ramey of Bridgewater; Kelly (Jane) Zwicker and Bill (Julie) Zwicker, both of Alberta. Grand daughter Patty (Carlo) Federico, of Alberta. Great grandchildren: Ben Ramey of Bridgewater. Brodie Federico, Sara, Cathy, Lauren and Hailey Zwicker of Alberta. Her sisters: Florence (Rodgers) of Bridgewater, Edith Ball of Woodville; and Lucy Mailman of Greenfield.  Her brothers: Albert (Gwen) of Pleasant River; Martin (Marion) of Westfield and Avery (Pauline) of New Elm.

 She was predeceased by her husband Lester; Son in law Carroll Ramey. Sisters Muriel Getson and Lottie Freeman and her brothers: Wilbert, Wade, William,  George, Robert and Maxwell. Step brothers Fred Baker and Wesley Uhlman and step sister Winnfred Uhlman.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Greenfield United Baptist Church. Dr. Reverend Peter Sherwood officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery, Greenfield. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Greenfield United Baptist Church, Greenfield and District Fire Department or the Pine Rest Cemetery Fund.
