 Baker - Willis F., 81, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on January 21st, 2025.

 Born in Liverpool, Willis was a son of the late Jordan and Ida (Conrad) Baker.

 Willis had many employment opportunities throughout his life starting with his father, Jordan, building slips and breakwaters. He later worked for Ford Motor Company in Oakville. Returning to Nova Scotia, Willis operated a gas station in Chester, worked for Michelin and was co-owner and operator of Medway Fisheries and Val’s Seafood.

 Willis enjoyed playing whist, pool, attending car shows and some travelling. Most of all, Willis was a people person, he could strike up a conversation with anyone regardless whether he knew you or not. He will be remembered for his integrity and loyalty as well as his love for family and friends, spending time with them, especially his grandsons.

 Willis is survived by his wife Valerie (Bezanson); his daughters Monica of Port Medway, Rhonda (Richard) LaPlante of Birchtown; his grandsons Xavier and Harper. His sisters Carroll Baker (John Beaulieu) of Guelph, ON and Rosemary Teal of Bridgewater.

 Besides his parents, Willis was predeceased by his sister Barbara Conrad and his brothers Truman and Fordan.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m from the Carroll Baker Mem'ries Centre, Port Medway, NS. Reverend James Haughn officiating. No flowers. Donations in Willis' memory may be made to Queens General Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be made below.
