WILLIAMS – Peggy Ann, 73, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Born in Kingston, ON, Peggy was a daughter of the late Norman and Marjorie (Hubley) Knox.
Peggy worked for the former Dixie Lee Store, Metropolitan Store, Stedman’s Store as well as C.W. MacLeod’s Fisheries and Clearwater Fisheries. She enjoyed knitting, fancy work, baking, bingo, playing cards, T.V. and movies. Peggy also loved going to Seniors group, the park, visiting family and spending time with friends. She would sit outside in the sun enjoying her time in the sun, listening to the radio and reading a fine book (or two). She was known to throw a few horseshoes now and then and spend time doing puzzles. Her prized accomplishment, though, above all else, was her year of sobriety reached this month in June.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Tina Wilson of Bridgewater, her sons Arthur (Lynn) Malone of Milton, Gordon Williams of Alberta; nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Her sister Gail (Eugene) Williams of Blockhouse.
Besides her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her husband David, her daughter Lynn Risser and her son Robert.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Reverend Judy cross officiating.
