WILLIAMS – Captain Clarence A., 83, of Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Port Mouton, Clarence was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Broome) Williams.
In his younger years, Clarence travelled to Prince Rupert, BC to work on the rail road, but returned within a month as water was Clarence’s life. Clarence was a fisherman all his life starting at the age of 15. During a sword fishing trip, Clarence was lost at sea in heavy fog off the Grand Banks and found the next day. He was an avid Blue Jays fan. Clarence will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Clarence is survived by his daughter Donna (Christopher) Mosher of Riverport; sons Dale, Darryl (Nancey), David (Amy) all of Port Mouton; grandchildren Michael (Amanda) Mosher, Richard (Natasha) Mosher and Madison Williams; great grandchildren Morgan and Cameron Mosher, Chloe and Canon Mosher; sisters Christine Colp of Bridgewater; Peggy Williams of Shelburne; brothers Gary and James “Jimmy” (Lillian) , both of Port Mouton.
Besides his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his wife Louise (Bowers).
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or to the West Queens Recreation Centre. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
