WHYNOT – Wayne Harley, 81, of Milton, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June, 8, 2022, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Milton, Wayne was the son of Wilson and Muriel (Minnick) Whynot.
Wayne had an auto body shop most of his life and still loved to be out in his garage working on old trucks and cars. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, building furniture , snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin. He was a great storyteller and could always make you laugh as he told his stories. Wayne enjoyed moose hunting with his son, Waverly. He could always be found at family functions with his 2 litre pop bottle right beside him.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Caroline ( Labrador); son Waverly (Donna) ; daughter Dana (Kelly) Frank and his siblings. Wayne also leaves behind grandchildren Kari (Cory) Tanner, Tyler (Staci) Frank, Alisha (Charles) Greene and Ryan (Amy) Whynot; great grandsons Perrin Greene, Kirk and Leon Whynot, Hudson and Wylder Frank.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his son Wade and great – granddaughter Kinsley.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday June, 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Milton Community Cemetery, Milton, N.S. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
