Victoria Lynn Whynot

Whynot, Victoria Lynn, 50, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013, at home.

Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Rosie (Whynot) Smith.

Vickie was an active volunteer for Special Olympics and Queens County Ground Search and Rescue. She loved reading, music, playing darts, knitting and enjoyed watching the TV show “Mantracker”. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband Gregory “Bones”; sons Devin, Nicholas, both at home, grandson Jonathan Nickerson; sisters Beverly (Paul) Conrad, of Voglers Cove, Betty Ann (Ronald) Daury, of Milton, Diane (Glen) Dexter, of Brooklyn; brothers David Whynot, Robert Smith, Thomas Smith, all of Milton; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15th, 2013, from 7-9 p.m., and a Celebration of Vickie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, at 11:00 a.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Reverend Corey Pickens officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens County Ground Search and Rescue or to the Special Olympics Lunenburg/Queens.
