Whynot, Larry Angus, 67, of Kempt, formerly of Milton, passed away on Friday, September 5th, 2014, in the Halifax Infirmary, QE II, Halifax. Born in Milton, he was a son of the late Irving and Betty (Berriman) Whynot. Larry lived in Kempt with his nephew Chris (Shirley) Whynot for the last fourteen years. In his younger years, Larry was employed as a cooks helper at Mersey Camp #21, before going to work for Mosher and Rawding Construction Company, Liverpool Lumber and finally at Steel and Engine Products. He loved to play sports, he was a very good baseball pitcher and broomball player in his day. He enjoyed working on the farm and hunting with his nephews. He was a member of the North Queens Search and Rescue, Royal Canadian Legion, A.L. Patterson, branch #87, Caledonia, the South Shore Draft Ponies Association and a member of the Nova Scotia Guides Association for over twenty years. He is survived by a brother; Chris (Susan); nieces Heather (Scott) MacNutt, Cheyenne Whynot, Hannah Whynot; nephews Chris (Shirley) Whynot,Colton Whynot, Tyler MacNutt. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, 2014, from 7-9 p.m., from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., from Milton Community Cemetery, Milton. Reverend John Boddy officiating. Family flowers only.
