Christine Ella Whynot

WHYNOT – Christine E., 75, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Born in Milton, Christine was a daughter of the late George W. and Dorothy M. (Wamboldt) Wamboldt.
Christine enjoyed gardening, knitting, crafting as well as sketching and drawing. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who had a no nonsense, practical attitude toward life but imparted her wisdom with kindness (whether you needed it or not). She wasn’t afraid to let you know where you stood with her.
Christine is survived by her daughters Amy (Troy) Grant of Milton and Cindy Wamboldt of Queensland and her son Tim (Kathy), of Milton. Her grandchildren Mandi and Lucas Grant, Zachariah Whynot and Molly Wamboldt. Her great grandchildren C.J. Sidney and Walker J.T. Himmelman. Her sisters in law Deb Wamboldt of Milton (who always visited) and Joan Williams of Bridgewater.
Besides her parents, Christine was predeceased by her husband Irving; and her brothers Jordan, Fred and Rick.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
