Whynot, Carla Lynn, 60, of Liverpool passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Born in Liverpool on March 2, 1962, she was the daughter of the late John MacIsaac and Tresa (Brannen) MacIsaac.
Carla graduated in 1980 from Liverpool Regional High School and began her working career first at Able Cable, then People’s Dept Store followed by providing childcare in her home to many children in Liverpool, during this time she also worked in the family business Whynot Services with Gaven.
Carla was a former member of the Queens County Blades, Girl Guides of Canada, Friends of Hank Snow Society and a long time member of the Woman’s Bowling League as well as the Mixed Bowling League.
Carla & Gaven loved & so enjoyed travelling on his motorcycle or by car with friends Dave & Michelle Winters throughout Canada and the United States, especially visiting her Aunt Faye’s cottage in New Hampshire, one of her favourite places. She loved her Country Music which took her to many trips to Nashville, but Carla was so excited she shared her birthday with Bon Jovi.
Carla was diagnosed almost 40 years ago with Type 1 Diabetes, which gave her many challenges over the years but her faith, strength & zest for Life helped her to fight the fight until she couldn’t anymore.
She is survived by her mother Tresa, sisters Charlene MacIsaac, Cynthia( Rick) Dorey all of Liverpool and Denise (Harold) Whynot of Bridgewater, niece Presley Whynot (Nathan Bristol) and nephew Bret Whynot all of Halifax.
Also survived by her stepchildren Michelle Colp, Stephen (Shelia) Whynot , step grandchildren Haley ( Brandon ) Publicover, Jared Colp, Hayden & Deihl Whynot all of Liverpool.
Carla was predeceased by her husband Gaven & father John MacIsaac.
She will be lovingly missed by her “Little Sweet Pea” Muffy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Celebration of Life for Carla will take place Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Reception to follow at the Mersey Point Hall. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Assoc.
