Verge – Daniel Elliot, age 56, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Queens General Hospital, after a lifelong battle with Fabry disease, in the arms of the love of his life, Selena and his sister, Susan.
Born in Liverpool, Dan was the youngest son of the late Eldon Verge and Vivian (Greek) (Verge) Jollimore.
Dan loved working at the Bowater Mersey Paper Company, where he was employed for many years, leaving in 2007 due to his health. He and Selena spent 35 loving years together (married for 27 of them) raising their loving family. Dan was a family man through and through and was happiest when spending time with his family and many close friends. We will miss his fun-loving, mischievous spirit and warm hearted embrace.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Selena; children, Connor of Port Mouton, Cami of Dartmouth, Ainsley and Bowen at home; sister Susan Verge (Doug Stevens) of Milton; brother, Matthew (Marieke) of Port Mouton; sister in law, Kathy (Tim); brother in law, James (Erin); his stepfather, Jordan Jollimore (Cathy); nephews, Jeremy, Kyle, Zach, Jacob and Ryan; nieces, Kimberly, Meagan, Ellamae and Rosie; great nephew, Kaeleb; fur baby, Bamby and the 6 cats.
Besides his parents, Danny was predeceased by a sister, Debbie and a brother, Kevin and most recently his mother in law, Faye Conrad, his kindred spirit; fur babies, Sabre and Bear.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13th, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., with a celebration of Dan’s life being held at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool.
