Mildred Victoria “Vicky” Tanner

Tanner – Mildred Victoria “Vicky”, 73, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away on July 13th, 2021 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Lawson and Mildred (Huphman) Roy.

She was a caring woman with a great sense of humor and a warm loving heart. Vicky’s greatest joy in life was her family and she greatly loved her grandchildren who were her life. In her younger years she worked as a Nanny in New York City before moving back home where she worked at Faye’s Nursing Home, Wong’s Restaurant and later for C.W. MacLeod Fisheries in Port Mouton. Vicky loved to clean and her house was always immaculate, with nothing ever out of place. She was an animal lover, especially her beloved cats and her dog, Chevy. She also enjoyed staying home and watching TV. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.

She is survived by daughters, Sally Tanner (Dwayne Butler), Vanessa (Steven) Hartlen, both of Liverpool; grandchildren, Colby (Jessica), Riley, Becca (Isaac), Carly, Shelbie, Megan (Paul) and Naomi; great-grandchildren, Maddix, Chayce, Talliah, Amia, Drake, Bella, Mackenzie and Jessie; sisters, Bella (Jordan) Oickle of Moose Harbour, Sheila (Peter) Lavender of Liverpool; brother, Marty Roy (Yashina Sumar) of Edmonton, AB; sister-in-law, Janet Roy of Port Mouton; many close friends who she considered family.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur; son, Troy; brothers, Bernie and Gordon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19th, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Vicky’s Life at 11:00 a.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Pastor Joanne Ozon officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com. All those attending are required to bring a mask, practice social distancing and provide contact tracing to the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the Emergency Department at South Shore Regional Hospital for their special care and kindness.
