Marion Doris Swayzie

Swayzie, Marion Doris, 69, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014, at home.  Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith (Hagen) Swayzie.  Marion enjoyed playing bingo, jigsaw puzzles, reading and touring the countryside with her best friend Mary. She spent most of her working life babysitting and housekeeping.  She is survived by sisters, Gloria (Dennis) Whynot, of Hunts Point, Carol Ann (Orris) Whynot, of Liverpool, Mona (Bill) Mosher, of South Brookfield; sister in law Margaret Swayzie, of Eastern Passage; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, William.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Marion’s Life, at 2:00 p.m., all from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Burial will be in the Oceanside Cemetery, Hunts Point. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
