Stephen Joel Whynot

 WHYNOT - Stephen “Beaver” J., 48, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, August 16, 2024, with family by his side.

 Born in Liverpool, Stephen was a son of the late Sydney “Buster” and Maxine (Oickle) Whynot.

 Stephen worked numerous jobs throughout his life, working for ten years with Robert Laing’s painting, J&H Industries Limited, Traffic Control, Safety First and McLeod’s Safety doing flagging along the South Shore and beyond. Stephen enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, Minecraft and was a force to reckon with when it came to Guitar Hero. Above all else, Stephen enjoyed his family and the time spent with them. 

 Stephen is survived by his wife Joan of 20 years; daughter Cassandra and sons Nathan and Avery all of Liverpool, N.S; sister Darlene (George) Hatt of Shelburne; brother Sid of Milton.

 Besides his parents, Stephen was predeceased by sister Doreen Smith.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. At Stephen’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of choice. To share memories or condolences, please visit below.
