Soper, Donalda Lorraine, age 78, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away on Friday, January 23rd, 2015, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Bridget (Sinclair) Whynot.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was happiest when spending time with her loving family and her many friends. She was a devout friend and was well known for her kindness and generosity. Donalda worked many years in housekeeping at White Point Lodge. She loved animals of all kinds but had a special place in her heart for her cats. She enjoyed baking, sewing and knitting.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alan; daughter, Kathy Mack (Danny Whynot), of Liverpool; son, Terry (Joyce), of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Bridget, Shannon, Lindsey, Darcy; great grandchildren, Ruthie, Tess and Jack.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robie.
A Celebration of Donalda’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens County Branch of the S.P.C.A.. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.chandlersfuneral.com
