Ernest Walter “Ernie” Sr. Selig

SELIG – Ernest W. “Ernie” Sr., 86, of Bridgewater, formerly of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Born in Port Medway, Ernie was a son of the late Adam and Myrtle (Hubley) Selig.
Ernie was a fisherman all his life. He is remembered as a hard worker, kind and caring. He loved gardening, dancing and flirting with the women.
Ernie is survived by his wife of fifteen years Vicki (Conrad); his daughter Tina Selig (Ken Atchison) of Milton; his sons Peter (Melanie Rafuse) of Chester Basin and Ernest Jr. of Mill Village. His grandson Jason and his great granddaughter Ella Mae. His step daughter Shana Seymour (Dave Kelsey) of Yarmouth; His step son Jordon Seymour (Kelsey Weagle) of Laconia and his step grandchildren Rosa Seymour, Daxton Seymour, Zaden Seymour and Zienna Seymour.. His sister Annabelle Manning of Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Besides his parents, Ernie was predeceased by his sister Irene Sarty and his brothers Raymond and Wilson.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroll Baker Mem’ries Centre, (formerly the Port Medway Baptist Church). Following the service, a reception will be held at the Port Medway Fire Hall. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Port Medway Fire Department.
