ROBERTS; Troy Adam Kent, 40, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 in VG Site, QE II Health Science Centre, Halifax with his family by his side.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of George and R. Anna (Freeman) Roberts of Liverpool.
Troy worked as a plumber with Roberts and Son Ltd. for 18 years before joining G.E.’s All Trucking Ltd. where he was currently employed as a driver/operator. He was an honorary member of the Liverpool Fire Fighters Association serving for 17 years. He enjoyed car racing , wrestling, vacations in Cuba and spending time with his family, especially his nieces, nephews and his special companion Phred.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife Mary (Whynot); his brother Allan (Jackie) of Liverpool. His paternal grandmother Helen MacLeod of Liverpool. Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Arnold Roberts and maternal grandparents Allan and Ruth (Boland) Freeman.
Visitation will be Monday, June 6th, 2011 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 7th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Liverpool Fire Hall Auditorium.
