Ellen “Helen” Ralph

RALPH – Ellen “Helen” , 92, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Monday, November 19th, 2012

Born in Cape St. George, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Yves and Elizabeth (Chaisson) Simon.

Ellen was a former Registered Nurse in St. John’s Newfoundland. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tatting, sewing, needlepoint and cribbage. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her kind and gentle manner and her quirky sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughters Simone (Stein) Snarby of Liverpool and Mary (Maurice) Bruce of Ottawa, ON., her son John (Susan) of St. John’s NL. Her grandchildren Anton and Elan Snarby, Noelle (Marc) Poliquin and Maurice (Amanda) Bruce, John and Courtney Ralph and great-grandchildren Charlotte Bruce and Luke Poliquin She will also be deeply missed by her special niece Irene Simon of PEI.

She was predeceased by her husband John, her sisters Leona and Irene and infant sister Adline.  Her brothers Yves, Lawrence, Henry and Octave.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 22nd, 2012 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool where funeral service will be Friday, November 23rd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Father Keith Billard officiating. Burial will be in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens Manor, Liverpool, Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity.
