PYKE – Enid Isobel, 90, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia on Friday, June 17, 2022.
Born in Mill Village, Enid was a daughter of the late Raymond and Flora (Manthorne) Anthony.
Enid enjoyed sewing, knitting and camping in their converted bus/camper and later at their cottage at Summerville Beach. She was one of the original members of the Liverpool Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary as well as one of the original members of the Liverpool Baptist Church WWT.
Enid lived to look after family especially the little ones and was well known for knitting sweaters for the whole family for Christmas as well as socks, mittens and hats. She was always ready for a get-together with family and friends.
Enid is survived by her daughters Patsy (Pauline Doucet), Susan (Wendell Whynot) and Ann Marie. Her grandchildren Joanne Whynot, Adam Roach, Neil Whynot and Jody Mitton and her great grandchildren MacKenzie Roach, Angus Skinner, Maxx Whynot, Seth Whynot and Allie Roach. Her sister Margaret (Vaughn Dauphinee).
Besides her parents, Enid was predeceased by her husband Eugene, her son Steven and her brothers Murray, Robert, Keith and George.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. No visitation by request. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Liverpool United Baptist Church. Pastor Noah Lohnes officiating assisted by Pastor Royce Getson. Burial will be in Liverpool United Baptist Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Liverpool Firefighters Association, Liverpool United Baptist Church or North Queens Nursing Home.
