It is with great sadness that we share that Stanley Philip Pearce passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 13th, on what was his 70th birthday.
Born in Collingwood, Ontario Stanley was a son of E. Mae (Robinson) Pearce of St. Catherine’s, Ontario and the late Alexander Pearce.
Stan spent many years on Georgian Bay, the west coast of Canada in Prince Rupert and Ucluelet, and then he and his wife, Catharine moved to Voglers Cove in the South Shore of Nova Scotia this past year. Stan loved canoeing with his wife and children when they were younger. He enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors and was happiest when he brought home a great catch to feed his family. Stan enjoyed chatting with his grandson, Gray, over Skype. Stan was famous for his ability to tell a great bad joke. He made an impact on many lives, none more so than his family. Stan was truly one of a kind. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Catharine (Porter) Pearce; son, Adam Pearce and his wife, Stephanie Bratt and their son, Gray of Owen Sound, Ontario; daughter, Pearl Pearce and her partner, Wayne LaFreniere of Broad Cove, Nova Scotia; his younger brother, Stephen Pearce and his wife Joanne Pearce of Sudbury, Ontario; his sister, Sue Beauregard and her partner, Ron and her son Alex Beauregard and his partner, Courtney and children of Port Colborne; many aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved dearly.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date. Stan’s wish was to be cremated and have one last fishing trip on Georgian Bay. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
