George Harris Parnell

PARNELL – George H., 82, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Monday, March 13, 2023.
Born in Liverpool, George was a son of the late Edgar and Verna (Whynot) Parnell.
George was a car salesman for Rossignol Sales, a sales agent for Atlantic Lottery Corporation and was a member of the local Kinsmen Club. He enjoyed playing guitar especially country and bluegrass with the band “Nothing Fancy”. He also enjoyed camping at Ponhook as well as hunting and fishing in his younger years.
George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn (Huskins); his son Donald (Lisa) of Ottawa and his grandchildren Matthew and Jessica. His sister Dorothy Parsons of Nanaimo, BC.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sister Sally Fryer and his brother Ken.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn.
