Merna Claire Olsson

Olsson – Merna Claire, age 73, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at home.

Born in Liverpool, Queens County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Kathleen (Young) Rideout.

Merna was an LPN for over 30 years working in various places in Ontario, Queens Manor, Liverpool, Queens General Hospital, Liverpool and as a in-home palliative care nurse along the South Shore.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anders; daughter, Rebecca Margenson; grandchildren, Dylan, Makayla and Michelle; sisters, Elizabeth (Conny) Eneroth, of Liverpool, Gloria (Alan) Frazer, of New Glasgow; brother, David, of Bridgewater.

She was predeceased by an infant sister, Julia; brother, Gerald and an infant brother, James.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1st, 2019, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., and a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Bishop J. Caulfield officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Church Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
