Catherine Elizabeth Oliver

OLIVER – Catherine E. 92, of Caledonia, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
Born in Ernestown, ON, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Gleeson) Swift.
Catherine was a former receptionist at the Roseway Hospital in Shelburne. She worked in a nursing home and also cooked in a restaurant. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, singing, doing crosswords and reading. She was a faithful member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in West Caledonia.
Catherine is survived by her daughter Donna (Lloyd) Bond of West Green Harbour; her son Larry of North Milton, PEI. Two grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her sister Alice Marie Bacsu of Toronto as well as many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was predeceased her husband Clarence; her granddaughter Diane; a great-grandson;her sister Leona Ann Camelon and daughter-in-law Wendy Jane Oliver.
Visitation and funeral mass will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, West Caledonia on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Charles Offor officiating. Cremation to follow. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to St. Jerome’s Catholic Church or North Queens Fire Association.
