Oickle, Murray Joseph Jr. passed away suddenly at home in Marriotts Cove on January 10th, 2021 at the young age of 47.
Born and raised in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Murray was a past employee of Oakhill Sawmill and a current employee of Michelin in Bridgewater where he worked for the past 12 years. Murray will be remembered by his infectious laugh, sense of humour and smile that lit up any room he was in. He loved listening to music, especially his favourite band Metallica and had a keen interest in playing guitar. Murray enjoyed going for early morning drives with his devoted loving partner Catherine with whom he spent his last 6 years.
Some things Murray was very passionate about include: Classic Cars, Oak Island, trying new foods, biking and Nascar. He was most proud of his two daughters Morgan and Emily whom he loved very much and enjoyed spending his time with.
He is survived by his two daughters Morgan (Tyler) of New Brunswick, Emily (Jeremy) of Kentville, and loving partner Catherine, his father Murray Oickle Sr. (Patricia) of Brooklyn, his brother Donald (Kelsey) of Alberta, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Murray is predeceased by his mother Catherine, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and the mother of his children Kim Booth.
Family service will be held Monday January 18th at 3pm at Chandlers’ Funeral Home in Liverpool. Due to covid restrictions it will be invitation only, Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Thomas (for being there), Phillip Stevens for his quick response, paramedics and SSRH. Flowers and donations in Murray’s memory can be made to the Leukemia Society of Nova Scotia and he would ask for everyone to donate blood if they are able.
