OICKLE – Mary Lillian, 88, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, May 13th, 2011.
Born in South Lake, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Jarvis) MacDonald.
Mary was a long time, faithful member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Liverpool. She enjoyed knitting and gardening and baking, especially biscuits and apple pies. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters Bernadette Cribby of Onsett, MA. Cheryl (Michael) Vaughan and Donalda, both of Calgary. Brenda MacDonald of Souris, PEI, Audrey Larkin of Brooklyn. Her sons: Patrick (Shirley) of PEI, Murray (Pat) of Charleston, Jordan (Bella “Annie”) of Mersey Point. Wade (Laurie) of Halifax. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sisters: Margaret Fisher of South Lake, PEI, Eleanor (George) Cheveria of Charlottetown, Hazel (Maurice) Corr of Summerside, Anna Mae (Manuel) Goes of Millis, MA. Her brothers: Elwin of Souris, PEI and Waldo (Marjorie) of Millis MA.
She was predeceased by he husband Charles, her sons Dale, Brian and Robert, A sister Theresa, brothers Joe, Bernard and Daniel.
Visitation will be today, (Monday, May 16th, 2011) from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool and Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Liverpool. Father Brian Murphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool.
