Noelle Madelaine Metzger

Metzger - Noelle M. “Pippi”, 61, of Western Head, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, April 5, 2025 with her loving sister, Genny and her best friends Wanda Montgomery and Judy Morton remaining by her side to make sure she was not alone on her journey to the hereafter.

Born in Liverpool, Noelle was a daughter of the late Gary and Hattie (Whynot) Lowe.

Noelle will be remembered for many things, but, most of all, anyone that knew “Pippi” well, will understand how uninhibited she really was. In her younger years, she was an accomplished lifeguard as well as a retired Captain of the Military Reserves. Noelle was an avid crafter, past member of the Kinette Club of Liverpool, Member of the K-ette Club of Liverpool and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was proud to have helped others by donating many pints of blood over the years and, as an avid reader, she left books in many hospital waiting rooms and libraries.

Noelle loved children. She was very proud to have looked after her nephew, Brandon and niece, Makayla while their parents were working. Oh my, the disco parties that took place and the stories that could be told! She left behind her canine baby, Sookie who is now being well looked after by her friend Wanda.

She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family, as well as her companion, Earl Lawrence. Since meeting Earl, Noelle took up cooking and experimented with many recipes. Earl graciously partook of all her efforts. Those that knew her well will get a real chuckle out of this.

Surviving are her sister Genny Lowe (Scott Lewis) of Eastern Passage, her brother Gary (Tammy Swinimer) of Milton her companion Earl Lawrence and her best friends Wanda Montgomery and Judy Morton. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Luke Martin and Laura and her godchildren Larissa and Tyler Montgomery.

Besides her parents, Noelle was predeceased by her husband Richard.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Noelle’s request, there will be no funeral service at this time. Online condolences may be made below.
