Claudia Jean Nauss

NAUSS – Claudia Jean, 69, of Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, formerly of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of Phyllis A. (Legge) (Hartlen) Hubley of Queens Manor, Liverpool and the late Claude W. Hartlen.

Claudia was a former employee with National Sea Products Limited in Lunenburg, a former store clerk in Chelsea and also provided child care for a number of families. She was a girl guide leader and enjoyed music as well as playing the spoons. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing, family get-togethers, riding horses in her younger years and was known to have a “sweet tooth”.

Surviving besides her mother are her daughters Donna Heim of Halifax, Diane (Paul) Corkum of Lower Branch, Debbie (Chris) Wamboldt of Milton, her son Donald Heim of Chelsea, grandchildren Brent, Colette, Natasha, Josh, Stephen, Christopher, Kaylee, Nathan and Angus, great-grandchildren Alexis, Breanna, Kyra, Dillon and Brayden, sister Heather Hartlen of Liverpool, brother Maynard Hartlen of Brooklyn.

She was predeceased by her stepfather Frank Hubley, great-granddaughter Victoria, ex-husband Andy Heim.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, where funeral service will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society.
