Merle Annette Fisher

Fisher, Merle A, 78, of Liverpool, NS, passed away peacefully at Queens General Hospital on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Born in Milton, NS, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Alice (Langille) Huskins.

Merle’s employment history included McLeod Fisheries, White Point Beach Lodge, Quarterdeck Restaurant and Hunts Point Convenience Store.

She enjoyed cooking shows, morning tea with Bev Roy, spending time at the picnic table with her friends, playing Yahtzee and Skipbo with her daughters.

Merle is survived by her children Kelly Fisher, Liverpool, Paula Fisher (Curtis Curry), Kingston, NS, Mike (Brenda Mader), Madoc, Ontario, and Dan(Sheila Cunningham), Port Mouton; Grandchildren Adam, Joshua, Gordon, Alexander, Daniel, Kyle, Meikka, Jenna, Shailene, Ryan; Great Grandchildren Layla, Maya and Malcolm; sisters Alana (Clifford Whynot), Liverpool, Peggy, White Horse, Yukon and Daniel, Port Mouton.

Besides her parents, Merle was predeceased by her husband Gordon, son Russell and brother Michael.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Merle’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made below.
