Colp, Maynard Ellsworth, 71, of Port Mouton, passed away Thursday, September 10th, 2009, at home.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Gerald and Lillian (Frausel) Colp.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. Maynard worked for many years lobster fishing and as a mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, cooking and baking. His grandchildren were very fond of his chocolate chip cookies.
He is survived by his wife Janet; daughters Kimberley (Richard) Lawson of Port Mouton, Lisa Kennickell of Vancouver, B.C.; sons Peter (Michelle) of Port Mouton, Kevin of Red Deer, Alberta: grandchildren Devin (Megan), Justin (Julia), Haley, Jared, TaMieka, Kodie, Cade, Ceara; great grandchildren Nolan, Kaiden; sisters Ruth (Murray) Thorbourne of Middlefield, Celia (Robert) Duchane of Lower Sackville, Muriel (John) Burgess of Port Mouton and Inez Hynick of Port Mouton.
He was predeceased by sister Sharon; brother Clair.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. The family will be accepting visitors at the family home (#8490 Highway #103, Port Mouton) on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 from 2 – 4 p.m.. A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
