MacLeod, Rachel Elizabeth, age 88, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015, in Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Whitman and Blanche (Wentzell) Martin.
She is survived by sons, Murray (June) Goulden, of Maplewood, David (Gail) Goulden, of Milton, Gary (Barbara) Goulden, of Whites Lake, Paul (Patty) MacLeod, of Dartmouth; stepdaughters, Norma (Spencer) Bagley and Nancy Lohnes, of Bridgewater, Linda Schrader, of Liverpool; stepson, Clifford “Butch” (Susan) MacLeod, of Brooklyn; 19 grandchildren; and, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Lillian Thompson, of Lower Sackville and Geraldine Labrador, of Liverpool; brothers Clayton, of Bridgewater and Murray (Anne), of Lower Sackville.
She was predeceased by her first husband, William Goulden; second husband, Morris MacLeod; sisters, Violet and Grace; brothers, Roland and Douglas.
Rachel was a cat lover and she had a special place in her heart for her cat Smokey.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool.
A Celebration of Rachel’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015, from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool, followed by a reception. Pastor Fred Carr officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to Harbour View Haven.
