Joanne Marie Macleod

MACLEOD – Joanne Marie, 61, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital on Saturday, May 23, 2020.
Born in Liverpool, Joanne was a daughter of Wilma (Whynot) MacLeod of Liverpool and the late Kinsford MacLeod.
Joanne had a great love for the outdoors and spending time with her family. She was such a loving and compassionate woman and spent her life taking care of others. Always smiling when entering a room; Joanne was beautiful inside and out.
Besides her mother, Wilma, Joanne is survived by her son Jason (Jody Hanley) of Milton. Her grandchildren Reilly MacLeod, Brady Hanley and Mikhail Manuel. Her sisters Debbie (Dale) Banks of Springhill, NS, Doreen of Hunt’s Point, NS. Her brothers Wade (Thelma) and Gordon (Patti), both of Liverpool. Numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Valerie Roy.
Besides her father, Kingsford, Joanne was predeceased by her sister Vickie and her nephew Ashley.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, all attending Joanne’s service are encouraged to bring a mask and practice six feet physical distancing.
