Leona May MacNutt

MACNUTT - Leona May, 77, of Caledonia, Queens County, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2024 in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia.

 Born in Wolfville, Leona was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lena (Merritt) McLellan.

 Leona was a stay at home mom, who enjoyed cooking, baking, animals and especially the outdoors. She loved bluegrass music but above all else family meant everything to her.

 Leona is survived by her son Murray of Caledonia; grandchildren Kristen (William Evans), Stanley, Brandon, Tiffany and Caley; great grandchildren Josephine, Mya and Jamie; sisters Betty and Margaret.

 Besides her parents, Leona is predeceased by her husband Walter, son Michael and sister Lillian Robichaud.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Cemetery, Hibernia Road, Caledonia, NS. No flowers by request, donations may be made to North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made below.
