Alice Edith Langley

Langley, Alice Edith –  Our hearts break as we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother , sister and mother in law, Alice Edith Langley, 75 years of Western Head on Sunday, July 11, 2010. She was the anchor of her family, drawing everyone together to the happy home she created for her husband Bill, and her children, Michael, Shawn, Jeffrey, John, Kimberley and Scott.

She leaves behind numerous people who mourn her loss. Her devoted and loving husband of 54 years Bill, her sons, Michael (Donna), Shawn (Mary), Jeff (Teresa), John (Trina), Scott (Tiffany), and her only daughter Kimberley (Dale) Foley, her grandchildren who loved and doted on her – Shawn (Tara), Jacob (Mallory), Zachary, Stephen, Karen, Katie, Mitchel, Makayla, Ian and Ben, her sister Marcella (John) Medicraft, her sister in law Winnifred (Bud) Ross, and brother in law Jack (Faye Barkhouse), who were frequent travel companions to she and Bill before her health declined in the last few years.

Mom was a humble woman who didn’t ask for much but gave you so much in return. She was proud of and lived for her large family and made all family occasions extra special. We were blessed to have her as our mother and wife and she will live forever in our hearts and our memories of the wonderful woman that she was.

Be at peace Mom.

Special thanks to Dr. Ernest and the nursing staff at Queens General for their kindness and excellent care of Mom during the last few years and especially the last few weeks.

There will be no funeral at Mom’s request but if you wish donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
