Murray Roy Langille

Langille; Murray Roy, 91, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, on Friday, June 9th, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Big Tancook Island, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Manson and Mildred (Rhodenizer) Langille.

Murray came from a family of boat builders and helped build many boats in his younger days. He worked at the Halifax dockyards during the war before going to work for the Bowater Mersey Paper Company, where he was employed for over 30 years as a carpenter and millwright. Murray was well known for his ability to make sauerkraut and homemade bread. Above all else, he was most passionate about his family, his dog Molly and spending time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Marie Morton/Oickle, daughters, Charlotte (Robert) Kelley, of Liverpool, Darlene Joyce, of Dartmouth, Linda Langille, of Bridgewater, Kathy (Barry) VanNorden, of Buckfield, Eileen (Mel) Loveridge, of Bridgewater; sons, Michael (Sylvia), of Liverpool, Richard, of Liverpool, Chris, of Western Head; step daughter, Dianne (Philip) Everett, of South Farmington; step sons, Fred (Linda) Oickle, of Liverpool, Adam Oickle (Linda Rogers), of Milton; step daughter in law, Lori Oickle; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite Baker, of Mahone Bay and Florence Langille, of Wileville.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Eileen (Lingley); infant son, Roy; grandchildren, Lisa, Cheyanne, Timothy Murphy, Timothy Oickle; brothers, Ivan, Ernest and Willis.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., from St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. Father Charles Offor officiating.
