LAMB – Isobel May, 83, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in River Hebert, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Edith (Norton) Rector.
Isobel loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going out to lunch with her family. She was a generous person and enjoyed giving to various charities such as the IWK, the Victorian Order of Nurses, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Christmas Daddies and the Canadian Cancer Society.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Courtney) Wentzell of Brooklyn, Carmel (Glen) Urquhart of Kars, NB, Sheila (Cliff) Ireland of Toronto, ON., her sons David (Ruth) of Ottawa, ON., Calvin of New Glasgow, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, her sisters Betty (Victor) Proctor of River Hebert, Joyce Speight of Alberta.
She was predeceased by her husbands Dean Weir and George Lamb, sisters Annie Tabor and Dorothy MacLeod and brother Brenton.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. both at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Dr. Steven Hopper officiating. A private family interment will be at a later time in Whispering Pines Cemetery, New Grafton.
