Knox – Carol Edith Knox, 83, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 21st 2019 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born 25th April, 1936, in Springhill, NS, Carol was a daughter of the late Clarence Harrison and Edith (Fitzgerald) ( Harrison) (Bobbie) Burke.
Carol retired from the Royal Bank of Canada after 30 years of employment. She was an avid seamstress completing many quilts and other projects. In her latter years she completed many paintings which she shared with family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Port Mouton United Baptist Church enjoying her friends and activities.
Gramma always loved to spend time with her grand-daughters, and great grand-daughters.
She is survived by daughter Cheryl (Bill) Bouges, grand-daughters Christa (Andrew) Black, Sarah (Graham) Surette, Brittany (Brian) Lesser, step-mother Mary Harrison, brother Richard (Donna) Harrison, sisters Bertha Harrison, Marjorie (Bob) Black, Susan (Bill) Budd. Step-sister Norma Jean (Joe) Hachey. Several nieces and nephews. Great-grand children Ella, Charlotte, and Abigail Black, Scarlett Surette, Rosemary and Gemma Lesser.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband of 55 years James “Scotty” Knox, daughter Rhonda Dunn, sisters Barb Tower, Dorothy Pillar, brother Arnold Harrison.
Funeral service will be held January 4th at 2:00 pm at the Chandlers Funeral Chapel, Liverpool, NS. Reverend Perley Tidd officiating. Reception to follow. A family internment will be held at a later date in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Port Mouton. Family flowers only.
