Greta Mae Julian

Julian; Greta Mae – 84, of East Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on August 18, 2017.
Born in Middlewood, Lunenburg county, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Irene ( Nowe) Slauenwhite.
Greta grew up in Vogler’s Cove, married and moved to the United States, returning to spend the second half of her life close to where she was born. Greta enjoyed bingo and making her candy Christmas wreaths which she donated to various organizations such as Queens County Search and Rescue, Cherry Hill, Port Medway and Mill Village Fire Departments for fund raising.
She will be fondly remembered for her “selective hearing” (ha!) and her enjoyment of the weekly jams at the Cherry Hill Fire Department and the card games at the East Port Medway Hall.
She is survived by her daughters Della (Robert) Johnson of Clearwater, Florida; Beverly Julian of Bridgewater; her sons Clarence (Paula) Julian of East Port Medway and Ross Julian of Hebb’s Cross; her granddaughter Madison; her brother Earle (Sally) of East Port Medway.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Arthur, her brother Hillary and half brother Newman Dagley.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in East Port Medway Community Cemetery. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Reception to follow in the East Port Medway Community Hall. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the East port Medway Community Hall.
