Whynott, Judy E., 78, of Western Head, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

 Born in Milton, Judy was a daughter of the late Richard “Dick” and Ruth (Sarty) Whynot.

 Judy worked at the former Scottie’s Fish and Chips and at the former Metropolitan Store behind the lunch counter. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and enjoyed going to bingo with her sisters and playing card games with family and friends. Judy also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved travelling in the motor home across parts of Canada and the US. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Old Garden Road “Dodge City” with her extended camping family as well as coffee dates with family and friends especially morning visits from her neighbor Diane and her family.

 Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, David; her sons Michael (Ava) Durling of Dartmouth; Paul (Carla) Lloyd of Calgary, AB, Doug Whynot of Liverpool, Andrew (Christiane) Whynott of Frankford, ON and Chris (Tina) of Brooklyn. Grandchildren Keesha, Amy, Thomas, Dana, Nicolas, Alexandra, Megan, Courtney and great grandchildren Sadie, Charlie and Emma. Her sisters Peggy Dalby and Eleanor Wentzell, both of Liverpool and Tina Whynot of Halifax. Her brothers Phillip (Debbie) of Windsor and Kevin (Violet) of Milton. 

 Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her grandson Dustin; her sisters Elizabeth Whynot, Nancy Johnson and her twin sister Joan Whynot. Her brothers Arnold and Eldridge.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a visitation will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date and time in Zion Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens General Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Nova Scotia Lung Association or to a charity of your choice. David and his family would like to send a special thank-you to Dr. Freeman and the staff of Queens General Hospital for their care and compassion during Judy’s stay there.
