Judith Anne McDougall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Judith “Judy” Anne McDougall on Friday, September 27, 2024.

 Judy was born in Halifax, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Joan (Kennedy) McDougall, and grew up in the Fairview area before venturing to the West Coast and then returning to Nova Scotia to reside in Liverpool.

 Judy was a retired employee of Bell Aliant with 28 years service retiring due to health reasons. She worked various part-time retail positions as her health allowed. Those who knew Judy know that she loved to talk to people. It didn’t matter who you were or your walk of life, she would talk to you on her walks to town or while serving you. She loved animals of all types, especially her cat, Charlie. He was her “boy”.

 Judy is survived her brother Michael, nephews Nolan and Ryan, niece Michele (James) Sabean, cousins Shawna McDougall, Sandra Whynot, Shane McDougall and her favorite Aunt “G” Gyneth McDougall.

 Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sisters Kathy Redmond and Lynn McDougall.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to SHAID Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be made below.
