Joseph Francis William Pardy

Pardy - Joseph F. Wm., 102, of Liverpool, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born in North End Halifax, Joe was a son of the late Angus MacNeil and Edith (Martin) Pardy.

Joe was the youngest of five siblings. He served in the Royal Canadian Army Corps Halifax Rifles from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1953 to 1972. Joe served in various campaigns: Cyprus, Germany, Gaza Strip and Egypt. Once his military career was finished, he and his late wife Bertha along with their children settled in Charleston, NS. Joe was an active member of Mersey Branch #38, Royal Canadian Legion, Liverpool since 1974.

Joe is survived by his daughter Sally, his son Albert (Judy) and grandchildren Helen Laurie and Debbie.

Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife Bertha (Marshall) and his sisters Dorothy, Anne, Rebecca and Sadie.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Joe’s request, there will be no funeral service. Online condolences may be made below.
