John Roland Carson

Carson - John R., 70, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

 Born in Liverpool, John was a son of the late John E. and Laura M. (Bell) Carson.

 John was a long time employee of the former Bowater Mersey paper Company Limited where he worked in the TMP plant and was responsible for lockouts. He was loved and respected by all his colleagues. John was a true craftsman known for his love of taking things apart and putting them back together. His exceptional skill in building was evident in the home he constructed by hand, a true testament to his dedication and talent.

 John is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kimberlee (Hicks); his daughter Crystal Carson of Liverpool, his sons John (Ania) of Bridgewater and Scott of Liverpool. His step son Walter Hicks (Debbie Allen) of Yarmouth. His grandchildren Cody, Emma, Olivia, Alex, Tonya, Riley and Jayce. His sister Elizabeth Gardner of Liverpool and his brother Robert (Linda) of Yarmouth.

 Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Lillian Fralic.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral home, Liverpool, NS. At John’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Online condolences may be made below.
