Silver, Henry Wilbert, 83 of North Brookfield, Queens County, passed away at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, on April 20th, 2025.
Born in North Brookfield, Queens County, Nova Scotia, Henry was the son of the late Randolph and Margaret (Awalt) Silver.
Henry began his working life in his teens, working with his father in a sawmill located at North Brookfield. He married his life partner, Pearl, in 1963. Henry worked as a sawyer at a local sawmill, a welder at Mersey Seafoods in Liverpool, and ultimately as an industrial mechanic with Michelin Tire, retiring after 28 years of service.
In his personal life, Henry took great pride in managing his woodlots and Christmas tree lots. He loved the outdoors, enjoying many hunting and fishing adventures with his cousins and sons. He and Pearl enjoyed a wide network of friends and were actively involved in the lives of their children and grandchildren.
Henry is survived by his sons, Brent (Tara) of Bridgewater, Allen (Debbie) of Lower Northfield, and Michael (Melanie) of North Brookfield. He is also survived by grandchildren Bailey, Colin, Chad (Alecia), Craig (Kristal), A.J., Taleia, Mackenna, Keegan, and Kayden as well as great grandchildren Colby, Caleb, Liam, Brantley, Ciara-Lynn, Mya-Mae, and Emersyn and his sister Margaret.
Besides his parents, Henry was predeceased by his sisters Edith and Judith, and brother William.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service will be held at the Rosette Cemetery, North Brookfield, Queens County, on Saturday April 26th at 11:00 am followed by a celebration of life from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at the Pleasant River Community Hall.
