It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Harriet Laura Nickerson on November 5th, 2024, at the Belleville General Hospital, Belleville, ON, at the age of 94.

Harriet held a special love for her extended family Laurie, Dolly and Ken, Leora, Lisa, Sherry and Peter, Vicky and Dan, Claire, and Ann.
Our dear Harriet will always be remembered as a beautiful person who was devoted to her family, friends, and faith.
Harriet spent 74 years of her life in Queens County, NS, and 24 years in Belleville, ON. She was born to be adventurous and fun ‘at heart’. In her younger years she found joy and fulfillment in family activities, crafting, sewing, and baking. In her later years she enjoyed travelling. She had the opportunity to see Europe, New Orleans, Florida, Pennsylvania, Myrtle Beach, Mexico, beautiful Canada, and even took a cruise to Alaska.
Harriet was an accomplished quilter. She started quilting at the age of twelve with her mother. She won ribbons and was invited to show one of her quilts in the Ottawa National Show. What an honour and so deserving. She loved her quilting community and her sewing room. Her family and friends will remember her memory by the quilts she made them.
In keeping with Harriet’s wishes cremation has taken place. She will make her last earthly journey to Nova Scotia in June where she will be laid to rest with her soulmate Charles.
