Larry Wayne Greenough

GREENOUGH – Larry W., 69, of Chelsea, Queens County, passed away peacefully December 26th, 2022 in the care of the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, losing his battle with kidney disease.
Born in Liverpool, Larry was the son of Burton and Arlene (Wamboldt) Greenough of Bridgewater, NS
Larry spent over 30 years working at Michelin in Bridgewater Nova Scotia until his retirement, always providing a great life for his family. Larry’s retirement was spent with his wife by his side spending time always together living life to its fullest enjoying weekends at the cottage, time with their daughters and granddaughters. He was an incredible family man, a teacher, a husband, a father, a grandfather. He was an outdoorsman, a tinkerer, a collector and a character.  He is a man impossible to forget and one to always be remembered. We are reminded of the poem The Dash by Linda Ellis, and that is Larry to a tee. He would not want to be remembered by the start and the end rather the dash in between.
Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Laura (Coops), daughters Heidi (Eddie) Robar of Edmonton and Karen Greenough (Jared MacKenzie) of Dartmouth; granddaughters Abigail, Olivia and Grace Robar.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Larry wished to not have a service, instead the family will all come together to lay him to rest in Milton Nova Scotia later this summer. No flowers by request, donations may to the Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
