William James Fillis

FILLIS – William J. “Bill” , 69, of Mill Village, Queens County, formerly of Halifax, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 2, 2015 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William James and Angeline Marie (Peters) Fillis. Bill was a car dealer for most of his working life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his life companion, Cindy Segal, daughters Tanya and Bonnie, sons Glen, Leslie and Billy Jr., a number of grandchildren, sisters Darlene of Quebec, Charmaine Renaud and Susan Lovell, both of Dartmouth, brother Kenneth of Halifax. He was predeceased by his sisters Eileen, Shirley, Deborah, Joyce and Tammy, brothers Joseph, Ronnie, Nelson and Alvin. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A  memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michaels Catholic Church, Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, followed by a luncheon.
