George Richard Falconer

Falconer – George Richard, age 84, of Mill Village, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on Monday November 23, 2020, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Barrie, Ontario, George was a son of the late George and Lillian Anne (Huggett) Falconer.

He was employed most of his life as an auto body mechanic and was known for his spray painting. George was an all star baseball player in his younger days, playing on numerous teams over the years. He was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. George also enjoyed playing cards. He will be greatly missed by his family and close friends.

George is survived by his loving companion, Alice Melanson; daughters, Debbie Ryan of Liverpool, Darlene Eldridge of Picton, Ontario; son, Kevin of Cambridge, Ontario; step son, Robert MacMillan, of New Glasgow; grandchildren, Katelyn and Julie; sisters, Shirley (Bob) Conforti of Guelph, Ontario, Doreen Barzo of Tillsenburg, Ontario.

George was predeceased by his first wife, Hilda Matthews; second wife, Jean MacMillan; sister, Madeline and a brother, Raymond in infancy.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral and Cremation Service, Liverpool. A private family service will be held at a later date.
