Eldridge Eugene Whynot

Whynot - Eldridge E., 77, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Born in Milton, Eldridge was a son of the late C. Leamont and Dorothy (Hartlen) Whynot.

Eldridge worked for Mersey Seafoods for 45 years. He was a member of the Queens County Ground Search and Rescue and an avid member of the Nova Scotia Guides Association. He enjoyed fishing and had a great love for his dogs and birds.

Eldridge is survived by his wife Phyllis (Croft); his sons Ashley (Pam) and Jason, both of Milton. His son in law Edward Doubleday also of Milton and his daughter in law Jennifer Whynot of Liverpool. His grandchildren Dakota Cunningham-Whynot and Bradley Whynot. His sisters Barbara Kenny of Kitchener, ON and Florence Wamboldt of Liverpool.

Besides his parents, Eldridge was predeceased by his daughter Norma Doubleday and his brother Robert.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. NS. At Eldridge’s request, there will be no funeral service. Donations to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
