Diane Olive Daury

DAURY – Diane Olive, age 78, of Liverpool, formerly of Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Liverpool, Diane was a daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Allison) Burgess.

Diane had an incredible work ethic and spent over 40 years working in the fish plant for C.W. McLeod Fisheries. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as going for a walk, enjoying nature, watching the sunset and sunrise, photography, crafting and quilt making. Diane inspired many with her strength, resilience and uncanny ability to never complain but see the good regardless of the situation. Above all else, Diane loved her family and was happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Diane is survived by her only daughter, Amanda of Annapolis County; sons, Wade (Darlene) of Liverpool, Steven (Denise) of Greenfield, Darren (Stephanie) of Liverpool and Ashley (Nikki) of Milton; grandchildren, Josh, Mallory, Rachael, Brook, Sara, Kaileb, Olivia, Gabe, Jason and Tasha; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Ethan, Nathaniel, Levina and Jakoby; sisters, Ada Howell of Kamloops, BC and Celia (Peter) Holowachuk of Kamloops, BC; and brother, Sonny Burgess of Victoria, BC.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Judson; sister, Jenny Fraser and brother, Marshall Burgess.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Diane’s request, there will be no funeral service at this time.
