Dauphinee, Edith M. 79, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 17th, 2021.
Born in Liverpool, Edith was a daughter of the late Spencer and Hilda (Jennings) Beck.
Edith was a former employee with Standard Brands Best Yeast Plant in Brooklyn. She served numerous years as an elected member of the South Shore Regional School Board. Edith also served as treasurer of the Brooklyn Cemetery Committee for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, reading and was an avid camper who spent many summers camping at Keji and Oakhill campgrounds. Edith will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring wife, mom, grammie and great grammie who will be missed greatly.
Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Bruce; her children: sons Allan (Sherry) of Milton and Dale (Kimberly Simpson) of Bridgewater and daughter Tina (Chris) Whynott of Brooklyn. Her Grandchildren: Dana (Jake White), Bethany (Sam) Crossfield, Tyler (Alana Dowling), Megan and Courtney. Her great granddaughter Rachel. Her sister Patricia (Jack) Chandler of Brooklyn.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel on August 6th, 2021,11:OO a.m., Pastor Joanne Ozon officiating. Interment to follow in Seaside Cemetery, Gardner Road, Brooklyn. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Queens General Hospital Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
