Daniel Charles Brooks

Brooks - Daniel C., 57, of Liverpool, formerly of Pugwash, passed away suddenly at home on February 24, 2025.

 Born in Amherst, NS, Danny was a son of Cyril and Carol (Margeson) Brooks.

 Danny was an accomplished woodworker as well as a red seal mechanic. He was an active volunteer with Ground Search and Rescue and the Liverpool and Pugwash Fire Departments. He was a former paramedic with Queens Regional Ambulance Service and had participated in the rescue efforts at the Twin Towers disaster on 9/11. He was a diver and most recognized as a “jack of all trades” type of person.

 Danny is survived by his son Daniel (Kayla) of Liverpool; his daughter Kali Gaudet of Amherst and step daughter Samantha Stevens of Pugwash. His grandchildren Kaylin, Georgia, Keidan and Naveah. His sisters Debra Brooks and Tania (Shane) Stanley and his brother John Bryant. His foster mother Shirley Pick and his wife Wendy Dixon. 

 He was predeceased by his brother Stanley.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Danny’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers, donations to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
