Dalby; Elva Odessa, age 95, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Friday, January 7th, 2022 with her oldest son Frederick and granddaughter Stephanie by her side.
Born in Milton, Queens County, Elva was a daughter of the late Monford and Avis (Fancy) Robar.
Elva enjoyed camping throughout her life with her husband Fred and their children. She enjoyed working at various stores as a cashier and meeting customers and friends alike. She loved playing cards at card parties and later with friends at Queens Manor. Her favorite card game was crazy 8’s. Above all else, Elva was most passionate about her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by a son; Frederick “Freddie” (Judy) of Middlewood; daughter-in-law, Valerie of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristy) of Conquerall Road, Jason, Stephanie (Andrew) of Riversdale, Kyle of Halifax and Fred (Brandy) of Alberta; step-granddaughter, Amy of Halifax and 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Jollimore of Port Mouton and Gladys Cook of Coldbrook; many nieces and nephews.
Elva was predeceased by her loving husband, Fred; daughter, Patricia; sons, Montford and Victor; sisters, Mazie and Fay; brothers, Reggie, Sammy, Montford, Leander and Milton.
A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Live streaming of Elva’s service will be available on January 11th, 2022 at service time. Those attending Elva’s service are asked to bring their own mask, provide proof of vaccination and identification, Covid 19 tracing information and practice hand sanitizing and social distancing whenever possible.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Queens Manor for all the loving care, especially nurse Lisa and Dr. Norah Mogan.
